In the opening salvo of what could be a significant price war, RØDE has announced massive price reductions up to 33% across its wireless microphone lineup.
The wireless mic market has become hugely competitive over recent years, with advancing technology combining with the arrival of new entrants such as DJI, Hollyland, Godox, and others to offer more choices than ever, especially in the creator market. So, for one of the industry stalwarts to respond with price cuts makes perfect sense.
What is perhaps surprising though about RØDE's price cuts on its wireless mic range is first, that it is doing it in the context of Trump's tariff policies very much sending prices in the opposite direction. And second, that the cuts are as deeply swingeing as they are.
Wireless PRO, GO, and Micro — New Prices
RØDE has really taken an axe to things.
- Wireless Micro down 33% to $99
- Wireless GO (Gen 3) down 33% to $199
- Wireless PRO down 25% to $299

"Professional audio shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the few," said RØDE CEO, Damien Wilson, couching the move as democratisation rather than competition. “When more creators have access to tools that truly elevate their craft, the entire creative community benefits. It’s our responsibility to break down budgetary barriers to make world-class audio accessible to everyone, and these price reductions are a clear demonstration of that commitment.”
As far as we know, these are permanent price reductions.
