Christmas 2025, and the world may be spinning out of control more rapidly than usual, but the TV is good.
Well, the streaming is good anyway. The network schedules seem to be the same tired mix of rehashed mid-TV safe schedule. But over on Netflix, Stranger Things is winding its decade-long journey into the Upside Down into a bombastic conclusion (our interview with cinematographer Caleb Heymann has the craft details). And Apple TV just wrapped its first series of Pluribus and dropped a BTS on the show which thankfully has already been greenlit for a second season.
e pluribus unum
Out of many, one. And out of many, a cracking piece of TV. The BTS goes into many aspects of the show, from the massive set builds including the cul-de-sac with accompanying Episode 7 spoiler on Google Earth, Air Force One, which complemented the location filming. Movement Choreographer, Nito Larioza, talks about his preference for dancers, performers and, bartenders (really) for the mesmerizing choreographed sequences, and we hear from actors, hair, makeup, and more.

The show was shot by Marshall Adams ASC (five episodes), and Paul Donachie BSC (four episodes) in 2.39:1 on the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF with Panavision Panaspeed large-format primes. The look was based on street photography from the '50s and '60s with a deliberately pronounced Kodachrome feel.
Did we mention it's very, very good?
