YoloLiv’s VertiCam is the industry’s first vertical PTZ camera

1 minute read

The increasing number of people looking for native vertical content tools now have YoloLiv’s new VertiCam PTZ camera to call on.

The amount of tools available to live stream in vertical formats are growing, but they’re still probably not where they should be given the amount of demand for creating content for the likes of TikTok. PTZ cameras are a case in point, they can operate vertically but often the ways users get them to do so involve rigs that are best described as home-made at best.

VertiCam look to change that capturing 1080P60 image quality in 1920 x 1090 resolution while also providing enough tools and features to operate as a decent PTZ unit in any orientation.

Users can switch between multiple preset positions easily thanks to the unit storing and recalling 255 specific pan/tilt/zoom positions. It also has a remote control feature that supports a wide rotation range of  ±170° horizontally and of 30°~+90° vertically.

TOF instantaneous autofocus allows focus instantly and precisely, while it also flits easily between panorama and close-up views with a 72.5° wide-angle lens and 12x optical zoom. A professional color mode includes camera noise reduction, backlight compensation and low light performance performance that YoloLIOv describes as ‘stunning’.

Size is a compact 128 x 118 x 158mm, while weight is a mere 1kg. Pricing meanwhile is $629 or equivalent and availability is late October.
