Tiffen’s new Smartphone 58mm Filter Mount gives recent iPhone users access to the complete range of 58mm Tiffen filters.
The new Tiffen Smartphone 58mm Filter Mount is precision made of black anodized aluminium, so its 0.15lbs won’t drag your phone down nor hopefully fall apart in a couple of months. It is not compatible with all MagSafe iPhones, but comes in various sizes that will fit anything from an iPhone 14/15 onwards in all their various iterations.The filter then simply threads on.
As Tiffen points out, there are a multitude of creative choices that then branch out from there to enhance your images. To control light, there's Neutral Density (NDs), UV Protectors, and Polarizers. To smooth complexions and enhance the atmosphere, there's Glimmerglass, Pro-Mist, Smoque, and Fog diffusion. For in-camera-phone effects, users can select Star FX, Digital Diffusion FX, and a rainbow of individual color filters including Sunrise, plus dozens more.
Individual 58mm filter prices start at $10.99 for a UV filter and peak at $210 for a Hollywood FX Filter Kit, so there’s plenty of stuff to play with at all budgets. And, it turns out, you can't do everything with Instagram filters...
