The KNOWLED AM1600R is a 1600W Full-Color Mat for Large-Scale Cinematic Lighting

Godox has announced the launch of the KNOWLED AM1600R Full-Color LED Inflatable Mat Light which provides 1600W output in both 4’x8’ and 8’x8’ sizes.

Designed to meet large-scale lighting demands in film, television, and commercial productions, the AM1600R 48K (4 x8 ft) and AM1600R 88K (8 x 8 ft),  feature high-density RGBW LED arrays that deliver bright, soft, and consistent lighting across a wide surface.

The inflatable frame can be fully deployed in approximately 3 minutes using an 8 psi air pump, and can remain inflated for up to 15 days without the need for re-inflation. Godox says that the inflatable butterfly frame uses 'advanced materials and precision manufacturing' to dramatically improve scratch and abrasion resistance, ensuring a longer lifespan. This also helps tackle the common issue of traditional airframes leaking air due to damage on set. Very usefully, no to truss system is needed for suspension, reducing setup time and manpower on set.

"To address the limitations of traditional inflatable lights, the AM1600R feature a detachable accessory system," writes Godox. "Compatible modifiers include two types of diffusion cloth, a soft film, pancake softbox, fabric grid, and skirt, offering flexible control over softness, direction, and spill."

The AM1600R 48 weighs 6.7 kg / 14.77 lb; the AM1600R 88 12 kg / 26.46 lb.
