Leitz Cine has expanded mount options for its HEKTOR prime lens series, adding Fujifilm G-mount support for users of the GFX Eterna 55 cine camera and GFX100.

Leitz Cine is adding a Fujifilm G-mount option to its HEKTOR line of mirrorless prime lenses, opening up the series to users of the Fujifilm GFX ETERNA 55 large-format cine camera and the GFX100 series of stills cameras.

The G-mount can be purchased as a standalone part and swapped by the user with basic tools in the same approach Leitz uses for the existing Sony E-, Leica L-, Canon RF-, and Nikon Z-mounts already available for the range. Lenses can also be ordered directly with the G-mount fitted.

The HEKTOR series comprises six full-frame prime lenses — 18, 25, 35, 50, 73, and 100mm — all at T2.1, with a consistent 80mm outer diameter and 77mm front filter thread across all focal lengths except the 18mm.

Some quick caveats. First, mounts are passive and carry no metadata to the camera body. Second, not all focal lengths cover the full sensor of the GFX Eterna 55 in open-gate mode, though most cover the main cine formats. The chart below has the details.

Pricing and availability

Individual HEKTOR lenses are priced at $7,390, with the 18mm at $7,590. Mount kits are $190 each. More information is available at leitz-cine.com/product/hektor.
