Godox has announced the LiteWafer-UP150R, a slim RGB LED panel designed for compact studio and location setups with an emphasis on space, speed, and portability.
The new Godox UP150R delivers up to 20,400 lux at 1 metre (3.3 ft) at 5600 K, placing it well up at the higher end of output for lights in its size class. Godox says this is achieved through a combination of high-efficiency LED chips paired with optical lenses, boosting brightness up to four times compared with standard panel designs.

Slim Design with Modular Expansion
As its name suggests, a key design focus of the LiteWafer-UP150R is its low-profile form factor. The panel remains thin even when fully assembled, making it easier to transport, pack, and rig in confined spaces. How thin? 2.41 cm / 0.95 inches, and it weighs just 3.2 kg / 7.05 lb
Two UP150R units can be joined together horizontally or vertically to create a larger lighting surface. When paired with the optional UP-C300 dual-light controller, both fixtures can be adjusted simultaneously, simplifying control for expanded setups.
Color Control and Effects
The UP150R supports HSI, RGBW, and gel modes, with a correlated color temperature range from 1800 K to 10,000 K. Fourteen built-in lighting effects are included for practical and creative applications.
Godox rates the light at approximately CRI 97 and TLCI 98, targeting accurate color reproduction and consistent skin tones across different shooting environments.
Mounting, Power, and Control
The fixture includes a quick-release mounting system and softbox to speed up setup and breakdown. Users can mount the light using the supplied 5/8-inch baby pin or opt for the UP150RUH01 Universal Swivel Holder, which offers a wider range of adjustment.
The light draws 180W. Power options include an integrated V-mount battery plate, allowing the light to run without external adapters. Paired with the lightweight control box and shoulder strap, the UP150R is ready for travel and on-location production.

A reinforced full-metal chassis provides durability and efficient passive cooling, which Godox says enables the fixture to deliver steady, reliable output across long shooting days.
Control is handled via the Godox Light App, with NFC pairing for fast setup. Optional DMX support is available through the DMX-TRS1 adapter for integration into larger studio lighting systems.
Pricing and Availability
The Godox LiteWafer-UP150R is priced at $699. Preorders are open now, with a two-panel kit to come.
