Eddie AI Adds Agentic Story Development, Longer Rough Cuts & Smarter B-Roll

The breakneck pace of development at Eddie AI continues with the introduction of Agentic Story Development, extended Rough Cuts duration, and improved B-roll logging.

Some rather useful new features have been added to AI-powered assistant video editor Eddie.AI in the latest update, which it introduces in what is becoming its typical creative style in the video below.

Kudos for "No one knows what the client does, no one cares to find out!" Yup, been there, done that.

Three New Features

Underneath the noir vibe, Eddie is introducing three new features.

Agentic Story Development: Editors can now provide Eddie with a URL as background material in Rough Cut mode, after which it will automatically pull key client messages and positioning from the source. The idea is that it then weaves them  into the story framework so that rough cuts start aligned with brand strategy and narrative intent. We haven't tested this yet, but do know of some company websites we'd like to try it on as they mystify us, frankly.

Extended Rough Cuts: Eddie now supports edits up to 40 minutes in duration.

Smarter B-Roll Logging: B-roll analysis now incorporates speech recognition, ensuring that any spoken dialogue in background footage is logged and searchable as well as visual action.
