Blackmagic Design has opened registration for six free 90-minute DaVinci Resolve 21 webinars running September through November 2026, covering everything from beginner basics to AI tools.

Following their success in previous years, Blackmagic Design is running a 2026 series of free online seminars covering the latest edition of DaVinci Resolve, Resolve 21. The sessions are aimed at filmmakers, editors, colorists and VFX artists at all skill levels. Each session runs 90 minutes and is held over Zoom, with a separate registration link for each date.

Here are the subjects and schedule:

DaVinci Resolve for New Users September 18, 13:00 UTC. An introduction to DaVinci Resolve Studio 21, covering all its pages for those just getting started.

Creativity from Photo to Video September 25, 13:00 UTC. For photographers and filmmakers: using color tools on stills, organizing and editing images, and applying AI-powered color and cinematic effects to integrate photos into video work.

Color Fundamentals for Editors October 23, 13:00 UTC. Balancing and matching footage from different cameras, then grading using layers and nodes.

Switching to DaVinci Resolve October 30, 14:00 UTC. For editors moving from another platform: layout, media organization, timeline preparation, and setting up collaborative projects a team can share.

Workflows from Camera to Delivery November 20, 14:00 UTC. A full post-production workflow: media management, editing and grading Blackmagic RAW camera original media, audio mixing and delivery.

Work Smarter with AI Tools November 27, 14:00 UTC. Object Removal, IntelliScript, IntelliSearch, Magic Mask, Voice Isolation and cinematic effects, aimed at cutting down repetitive manual work.

As per last year, the sessions are put on by Blackmagic EMEA, which explains the slightly awkward timing for readers outside Europe/ Also as per last year, as far as we know there's no geoblocking, so while it is definitely a bit of an early start for anyone on the US West Coast, there's a lot to like about free resources.
