Eddie AI now lets editors finesse their automatically generated cuts by simply cutting, pasting, and deleting the text transcript.

Eddie AI has added text-based editing inside Rough Cut mode to its growing lists of assists, unlocking a new way for editors to refine AI-generated edits using nothing but words.

Rough Cut mode enabled users to automatically assemble clean stringouts from raw interviews in minutes. Now, with text-based editing, editors can take the wheel and polish the AI’s cuts with the same sort of familiar controls they'd use to edit a Word doc.

Grab handles let you move text around, the cut rearranging itself as you go. Likewise filler words and whole sentences can be easily deleted without having to directly manipulate the timeline.

As ever, Eddie AI talks about the collaborative nature of the process. "AI handles the heavy lifting of logging and assembly," it writes. "The editor stays in control of the story, with the ability to refine timing, pacing, and tone directly from the transcript."

This feature is now live and available to all Eddie AI users inside Rough Cut mode.
