Viltrox's AF 75mm F1.8 EVO and AF 90mm F2.2 EVO are portrait prime lenses for APS-C mirrorless cameras, available now for Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fujifilm XF mounts from $329.
Viltrox has launched two portrait prime lenses for APS-C mirrorless cameras: the AF 75mm F1.8 EVO and AF 90mm F2.2 EVO. Both are available now for Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fujifilm XF mounts.
The 75mm gives a 112.5mm-equivalent field of view, suited to street photography, half-body portraits, and everyday shooting. The 90mm delivers a 135mm-equivalent perspective with stronger background compression, aimed at outdoor portraits and wedding work. Both focus to a minimum of 0.74 m (2 ft 5 in) and weigh under 355 g (12.5 oz).
Optical construction uses ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and HR (High Refractive Index) elements to reduce chromatic aberration and maintain edge-to-edge sharpness wide open. Viltrox says the designs also deliver consistent illumination across the frame.
Autofocus is handled by an STM motor, which the company describes as fast and quiet, with continuous tracking for video. Both lenses include a customizable Fn button, an AF/MF switch, and a switchable click/de-click aperture ring. The mount is rubber-sealed and the front element has a smudge- and water-resistant coating.
