Tilta releases camera cages for Canon R50 V and Fujifilm GFX100RF

Tilta's new camera cages for the Canon R50 V and Fujifilm GFX100RF provide added protection and versatile mounting options.

Camera Cage for Canon R50 V

Available in black or silver, the aluminium $89 Camera Cage for Canon R50 V Base Kit serves as an extra layer of protection for the camera body while also accommodating a range of external accessories via multiple mounting options including a Cold Shoe Receiver, NATO Rail, and ¼”-20 threads with locating points.

The ARCA Bottom Plate ensures easy compatibility with ARCA receivers such as the ones you can find on Title's tripod range, as well as the Ronin S Series of Gimbals.

Tilta says that the cage features a new design which allows the three primary mounting points to be removed when not needed. In other words, the NATO, Cold Shoe and ARCA mounting plates are all detachable.

A built-in handgrip features a silicone handle that fits closely to the curve of the palm, making this more comfortable to use handheld than a traditional camera cage. The Top Handle also improves mounting options with additional 1/4″-20 threads and a Cold Shoe Receiver, perfect for an external monitor. Weight is 0.38 lbs (173g) with all accessories, 0.22 lbs (100g) in minimalist configuration.

There is also a cut-down version, the Full Camera Cage for Canon R50 V, which, as far as we can tell, is the same but without the top handle. That takes $20 off the price.

Vintage Camera Cage for Fujifilm GFX100RF 

The top of the range here is the Travel Kit. This features an L-Bracket with a wooden handgrip crafted from walnut, which provides a more comfortable way to operate and handle the camera. A Hot Shoe Thumb Grip mounts to the camera’s Hot Shoe Mount and improves handheld stability for smoother shots.

The included ARCA Quick Release Plate can be attached when needed which allows the system to easily mount to any ARCA Receiver, such as the one you would find on a Ronin S Series Gimbal or many lightweight Tripods, such as Tita's own VT-05 Travel Fluid Head Tripod.

This Travel Kit also includes an Ultra-Thin CNC Top Cover which provides Lightweight and Robust Protection for the camera, specifically helpful when traveling.

A slimmed-down version of the above, the Lightweight version of the kit is essentially a leather camera case which mounts via a 1/4″-20 screw. A small flap on the bottom provides easy access to the battery compartment. It also comes with a Hot Shoe Thumb Bracket, which mounts to the camera’s Hot Shoe Receiver in order to provide a comfortable and secure position for an operator to place their thumb.

A slimmed-down slimmed-down version, basically the leather case on its own, is also available for $39.
