For those not lucky enough to be able to shoot 65mm film, here's a fascinating glimpse into how film is transferred to the digital realm.

The video below has been produced by YouTuber, Ribsy, as he gets taken on a tour of the Cinelab film scanning facilities in London. It's a fascinating insight into how the process takes place, looking at how the film is prepared, as well as how the scan itself takes place. We get to see both Super8 and 65mm film getting scanned, and Ribsy has helpfully supplied links to the resultant test scans in his video description. We also get to see the process of sending digital images back to film.

For anyone who hasn't worked with film, or who wants to learn much more about the process, it's essential viewing. It's also worth investigating his channel more, since it contains equally fascinating tours of places like Ilford, showing how film is manufactured.
