SIRUI unveils fast and affordable Night Walker cinema lenses

2 minute read

SIRUI has just announced a new set of three fast S35 and APS-C cinema prime lenses dubbed Night Walker priced under $400 each.

The three new Night Walker cinema lenses will work with S35 and APS-C cameras (for example, the RED KOMODO, Canon R7, Fujifilm X-T4, Sony FX30, etc), and each lens will be of the same size. They will come in 24mm, 35mm, and 55mm focal lengths with a fast T1.2 aperture, ideal for low light filming situations.

These are compact and lightweight lenses (and uniform in size) and are ideal for pretty much any type of filming situation: Controlled in a studio or on a set or run-and-gun, plus excellent for filming at night or in low light. And the price can't be beat at under $400 for each lens and they're offering a special discount if you buy the set through their Indiegogo campaign (see below).

Let's take a look at the features of the Night Walker lenses. Keep in mind, they're almost completely identical, making it easier to swap lenses and accessories, plus store.

  • Super fast T1.2 aperture; images are nice and sharp even at max aperture
  • Beautiful bokeh
  • S35 / APS-C
  • Ideal for filming (controlled, run-and-gun, etc.) or still photography (portrait, landscape, etc.)
  • Fully manual
  • Minimum focal distance of 0.3 to 0.6m
  • Filter thread of 67mm
  • 77.6mm diameter focus ring
  • Rotation angle of the focus ring is 270°
  • E Mount, RF Mount, X Mount, and MFT Mount Available
  • Available in black or metal gray
  • 83.7mm in length and a weight about 500g
  • Each lens ships with a pouch, warranty card, and service card
  • The lens set comes with a storage bag for all 3 lenses

The images look pretty good and what is really nice is that it doesn't matter if you're filming 6K on the S35 RED KOMODO-X or 4K on the Canon mirrorless R10, the bokeh is nice, the footage is film-like, and the lenses are compact and easy to work with.

SIRUI is running an Indiegogo campaign for the Night Walker lenses, and the good news is that it's fully funded (to the tune of $440,000 as of writing, an impressive 4403% of its orginal goal), so they're already shipping. And the price can't be beat: 10% off on a 3-lens set of 24mm, 35mm, and 55mm glass for $899 (normally $999), but that price depends on the mount. You simply select your lens mount and make your purchase.

Individually, the lenses are priced at $349 for each lens or $399, depending on the mount you choose. There is a discount on Indiegogo, but it won’t last forever (up till August 10 when the campaign closes to be exact).
