Despite its greater size, the Cinebot Max can use the same track as the Cinebot Mini

The Cinebot Max is the latest addition to the Nikon-owned Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) Cinebot lineup.

The Cinebot Max is pretty much identical to the already launched Cinebot Mini which debuted from MRMC at IBC2023, but has the additional reach and payload you can expect from larger rigs. It builds upon the PushMoco technology of the Cinebot Mini, meaning that its 1.75m (5.74 ft) arm can be maneuvered into any position by hand. Camera movements can then be played back seamlessly, and with a 3.2m (10.5ft) height and 20kg (44lbs) payload, there are plenty of creative options available.

Moves can be further refined in MRMC's Flair software for a full range of visual effects and more intricate adjustments. The Cinebot Max can also be integrated with VFX and CGI pipelines, allowing for seamless integration of live-action footage with digital effects.

Moves can also be recorded or inputted directly from a mobile phone. It also has a handy battery option that can last up to 10 hours, providing extended operation without a main power source.

It is available on pedestal for easy wheel-in convenience on set, or track for 7 axes of motion. Pricing falls into the 'if you have to ask you can't afford it' category.

See it on the MRMC booth at NAB 2024 (L2).
