Meike has so far unveiled two new S35 prime lenses as part of their Super 35-Prime Cine Lens Series which will include a total of six lenses that will be at T/2.1. The first lens they released was a 50mm T/2.1 FF-Prime, and the latest is a 35mm T/2.1 FF-Prime. These affordable and compact lenses will be ideal for a variety of cinema cameras.

The eventual line-up of cine S35 T/2.1 FF-Prime lenses from Meike will look like this: 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 105mm. This will be a pretty complete set of primes that work great on cameras like the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera (6K and 4K), RED KOMODO, etc.

The image circle coverage is 33.6mm, and lens mounts for the 35mm include PL and EF. The 50mm ('nifty fifty') has several mount options: EF, PL, RF, E, L, and Z.

Meike's T/2.1 S35 FF-Prime lenses are on the compact side, which makes it easier to carry around when transporting for various shoots. The sizes and weights will depend on the mounts.

In addition, the 35mm has a minimal focusing distance of 48cm, the filter thread is ø77, 12 elements in 10 groups, 11 iris blades, an aperture range from T/2.1 to T/2.2, and a focus rotation of 270 degrees.

The 50mm has a minimal focusing distance of 60mm, the filter thread is ø82, it has 12 elements in 8 groups, 11 iris blades, an aperture range of T/2.1 to T/2.2, and a focus range of 330 degrees.

You can pre-order the 35mm at Meike's website, and it retails for $539.99 USD, while the 50mm can be found here, and will cost $959.99 USD. Both are expected to ship by the end of September 2020. Expect more details and pre-orders for the rest of the Super 35-Prime Cine Lens Series soon.
