Mavis has updated its iPad live production app at InfoComm 2026. The release adds NDI Preview, PTZ camera control, USB audio interface support and 3D layouts.

Mavis has updated Mavis Studio, its live production app for iPad which only launched a few months ago at NAB. New additions include NDI Preview, PTZ control, USB audio support and a redesigned control wheel.

The app already supports NDI input and output for bringing networked cameras and sources into an iPad production environment. The new NDI Preview mode gives users five minutes of full access to NDI features, including camera sources, tally and PTZ control, before subscribing. This will allow teams to test network performance and check compatible sources before having to commit any of their budget to the project.

PTZ & audio

PTZ control has also been added for supported NDI cameras. Operators can pan, tilt, zoom and focus compatible cameras inside Mavis Studio using a control wheel that switches between PTZ control, media control and 3D layout adjustment depending on the selected source. Customizable buttons give faster access to common actions.

On the audio side, support for USB audio interfaces lets users route professional audio hardware into the app's integrated audio desk, with up to four channels available. The same interface can be used for headphone monitoring.

New 3D layouts let operators position and angle layers in 3D space for events, interviews, presentations and branded productions, without a separate graphics system.

Pricing and availability

The new features are live now. Mavis Studio is a free download from the App Store, but the free version watermarks all outputs. Removing the watermark costs $24.99 per month or $79.99 per year, while removing the watermark and activating NDI costs $39.99 per month or $129.99 per year.
