EIZO on the IBC2026 show floor: CG3200X OLED and the ColorEdge range

At IBC 2026, EIZO's Dan Emmett gave us tour of the ColorEdge range on the company's stand, focused on how the line handles HDR grading and, in particular, the challenges of bringing OLED technology into that workflow.

The tour opened with a comparison of EIZO's first ColorEdge OLED monitor, the CG3200X, shown alongside the company's high-end grade-one reference master display. Emmett noted the two were closely matched on contrast ratio and DCI-P3 coverage, with the main difference coming from the automatic brightness limiter (ABL) that OLED panels require to protect the panel from burn-in.

He demonstrated this with a colorimeter measuring a gray patch across both a stock OLED sample and EIZO's custom-tuned unit, showing the custom version holding midtones far more stable as ABL kicked in. A new highlight dimming mode was also shown, which lets ABL compress only the brightest highlights rather than dimming the whole panel uniformly, preserving shadow detail for grading.

From there, the tour moved onto the CS3200X, an entry-level model that now ships with a hood as standard and a slimmer bezel; the CG3100X, a DCI 4K reference monitor at the full 4096 by 2160 resolution; the CG2700X, a 27-inch UHD model popular with photographers and video professionals; and the CG2400SV, a 24-inch monitor with SDI input and output for broadcast workflows. The tour closed with a FlexScan wide curved display, normally an office monitor but increasingly used as a GUI screen, now offering both Rec. 709 and Display P3 color space presets built in.
