DJI's new Lito series brings omnidirectional obstacle sensing, 48 MP cameras, and 4K video to first-time flyers at tempting prices.
DJI has launched the Lito series, a new entry-level lineup of camera drones aimed at first-time aerial photographers. Two models are available: the Lito 1 and the premium Lito X1, both sub-250 g foldable designs with omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
In an increasingly crowded drone lineup (and that's just from DJI) the Lito series sits above the Neo and Flip. They basically supercede the DJI Mini lineup as the go-to entry-level option for beginners seeking a traditional flying experience, bringing better cameras, better safety features, and longer flight times at entry-level prices.
Lito 1 vs Lito X1
The Lito 1 carries a 1/2" CMOS sensor with a 48 MP effective pixel count and an f/1.8 aperture, capable of shooting 8K still images and 4K video. The much more capable Lito X1 steps up to a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, adding HDR video recording with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, 10-Bit D-Log M, and forward-facing LiDAR for enhanced obstacle perception in complex environments. The Lito also has no internal storage, while the X1 has 42 GB.

Both models feature 5-lux omnidirectional obstacle sensing and include the usual flight assists including ActiveTrack subject tracking at up to 12 m/s, along with QuickShots, MasterShots, Hyperlapse, and Panorama modes. Flight time is rated at up to 36 minutes on the standard Intelligent Flight Battery, with wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s. QuickTransfer via Wi-Fi 6 supports file transfer speeds of up to 50 MB/s.
