Blackmagic has taken the wrappers off the newest public beta of its Blackmagic Camera software, which now hits v8.6.

This software update adds new features to a whole raft of Blackmagic cameras including the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, and Cinema Camera 6K.

The headlines are that it adds support for cloud workflows and direct uploads to DaVinci Resolve projects on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Cinema Camera 6K. In addition, it includes support for USB-C webcam output, adds a media pool file browser, support for login and secure certificate, REST control API and network time protocol.
