ASUS Teases GoPro Creator Laptop With Dedicated F8 Button for CES 2026
2:05

CES 2026 leaks and teases are starting to appear in volume, with the latest one from ASUS showing a dedicated GoPro F8 button on a laptop keyboard.

ASUS and GoPro announced a formal partnership back in October, that had the aim of streamlining 360° video workflows from capture to editing. back then, the two companies released StoryCube, an exclusive ASUS-engineered, AI-powered content-management app that was also the world’s first Windows app to support both GoPro Cloud media and 360° video.

StoryCloud allows users to preview native .360 files, whether stored locally or online. It was also the world’s first app to provide AI scene categorization in 360° video alongside conventional media, helping users automatically categorize popular GoPro activities such as biking, surfing, and snowboarding.

At the time, anyone interested was directed towards the excellent ProArt P16 laptop to fulfill their GoPro needs, which also came with a six-month complimentary GoPro Premium+ subscription for new purchases. Shorter free subs were available for the rest of the ASUS laptop range, including Zenbook and Vivobook models, but now it seems that a new flagship GoPro collab is on the cards.

Apart from the shiny, dedicated GoPro button on the F8 key we really don't know much about the  ProArt GoPro edition creator laptop. But what we can guess is that it's going to have a decent spec, hopefully akin to the P16, and will come with at least six month's of  GoPro Premium+. More will be revealed at the ASUS CES 2026 online launch event on Tuesday January 6 at 9 AM PST.

It's going to be a busy start to the New Year.
