ASUS Confirms Late August Availability of Mighty ProArt PA32QCV 6K Monitor
7:35

One of the most eagerly anticipated monitors of the year, and a genuine Apple Studio Display alternative, the $1299 ASUS ProArt PA32QCV will be available next month.

We liked the look of the ASUS ProArt PA32QCV when we first saw it, so much so that we included it in our round up of The Best New Monitors You Can Buy for Your 2025 Mac Studio back in March when news of the new M4 and M3 Ultra 2025 Mac Studios first broke.

At the time it was tentatively slated for a June release. And while that's slipped by a couple of months, we now know that it's going to ship 'late August' (which seems to be the closest ASUS will pin the date down to) for a confirmed price of $1299.

Key features

  • 32" 6K (6016 x 3384) Calman Verified display is factory-calibrated and features 98% DCI-P3 gamut and Delta E<2 color accuracy
  • Built-in Auto KVM for effortless switching between two connected laptops or PCs with a single keyboard and mouse
  • Extensive connectivity including Thunderbolt 4 with 96-watt Power Delivery, DisplayPort, HDMI, and a USB hub
  • Mac-friendly features include a new M Model-P3 color preset for consistent colors on macOS; also, ASUS DisplayWidget Center is available for macOS

It has a lot going for it too. The PA32QCV offers Delta E<2 color accuracy, 98% DCI-P3 gamut, and 218 pixels per inch (ppi) for excellent image clarity, which works out at over 3.1x that of a 32-inch FHD display. ASUS says that each display will be individually calibrated at the factory and Calman Verified to ensure exceptional and consistent color accuracy. 10-bit color depth enables the monitor to showcase more than 1.07 billion onscreen colors.

It features HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 600 compatibility to ensure the bright whites and dark black hues for exceptional contrast, and provides 145% more workspace than a 4K monitor of the same size.

Mac Attack

It's definitely targeting Mac users. The high-PPI-count panel ensures high-resolution visuals for enhanced clarity across an expansive workspace that includes Mac-native screens, while the new M Model-P3 Preset aligns ProArt Display colors with macOS devices. As well as that, ASUS DisplayWidget Center for macOS enables easy monitor adjustments with a mouse, including brightness, contrast, color temperature, and more. MacBook users can even use the MacBook brightness button to adjust the monitor’s luminosity.

In that same space, the PA32QCV is also equipped with ASUS Light Sync technology. A backlight sensor automatically brightens the screen on startup, ensuring bright imagery and reliable color performance. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the monitor's color gamut based on ambient lighting, helping to achieve true colors in any environment.

As well as that, the PA32QCV features LuxPixel technology. This is an anti-glare, low-reflection (AGLR) coating that provides a paper-like screen effect. ASUS says that, unlike traditional matte panels that often show softer images, LuxPixel technology minimizes reflections to ensure the user only sees accurate colors and sharp details.

Built-in Auto KVM allows PA32QCV users to switch between and control two connected laptops or PCs with a single keyboard and mouse, while dual Thunderbolt 4 ports enable superfast data transfers, DisplayPort connectivity, and 96-watt Power Delivery to charge laptops and other devices. The monitor also usefully serves as a USB hub as any device connected to the monitor’s USB ports gains access to other connected peripherals.

Other connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 DSC, USB Type-A, and an additional USB-C downstream port for compatibility with a wide range of devices. It also includes a passthrough port for headphones. Full specs at the bottom

Pricing and Availability

The ASUS ProArt PA32QCV will be available late August for $1299. Back in March ASUS confirmed a European price of €1399, but that may have shifted in the timeframe since. In some areas, customers who purchase eligible ASUS products can receive a complimentary three-month or one-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Substance 3D and Adobe Acrobat up to a $488.97 value.
