Angénieux unveiled new glass this past summer at Cannes, the Optimo Ultra Compact Full Frame zoom lenses, which come in 37-102mm and 21-56mm. The company says the set will pair up nicely with their Optimo Prime and Optimo Ultra 12x series of lenses.

The new lenses from Angénieux are very light, designed with the FF/VV format in mind, and aimed at filmmakers. The image quality will remain the same from T2.9 to T22, and features that classic 'Angénieuxlook.'

Along with the Optimo Ultra 12x and Optimo Prime, Angénieux says the Ultra Compact Lenses will also work well with the Type-EZ glass, so cinematographers will feel comfortable adding the new pair.
