Angelbird Intros Next-Gen Performance Card Reader CFexpress B

Angelbird's new CFexpress B Card Reader offers speedy 40 Gb/s transfer speeds and advanced cooling for seamless media editing across multiple platforms.

With transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s via USB-C 4.0 Gen 3x2 and full compatibility with the latest CFexpress v4 Type B technology, the latest Angelbird Performance Card Reader CFexpress B allows you to work directly from Type B storage media if you really want to. That means when editing large RAW video files or ultra-high-res images, you have the option of real-time access directly from the card.

It uses Angelbird’s trademarked Solid Cool technology to maintain peak performance through active cooling, preventing overheating and thermal throttling. Whether you're transferring data and editing on set, in your studio, or while traveling, the goal is to provide uninterrupted, lag-free performance. It's designed to withstand operating temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C, storage temperatures from -25 °C to 70 °C, and humidity levels from 5% to 95% (non-condensing).

It also does users another solid with the Solid Connect secure, recessed connection point within the card reader. It also comes with one of the new flexible 32 cm (12.6″) USB-C 4.0 Solid Flex cables, supporting speeds of up to 40 Gb/s.

It's fully compatible across macOS, Windows, iPadOS, iOS, Linux, and Android. It's also technically compatible with Thunderbolt 3, 4, and 5 host devices, operating via USB 4.0 with transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s. It's 97.5 × 21.5 × 65 mm  (3.84 × 0.85 × 2.56 in), and weighs ~ 175 g | 6.17 oz
