ZHIYUN launches pocket-sized MOLUS X100 RGB light

The new MOLUS X100 RGB light is ZHIYUN's thinnest and most powerful 100W COB light to date with advanced modifiers for creative control.

Co-designed with acclaimed indigenous filmmaker, Cam Mackey, ZHIYUN says the MOLUS X100 RGB is its thinnest 100W RGB COB light to date. It has a heat sink thickness of less than 2 cm, a total body thickness of approximately 3cm, and a lightweight design at just 384 g. Those numbers translate into 0.79 inches, 1.18 inches, and 13.55 oz.

Temperature ranges from 2500K to 10000K, and, with the ultra-thin Mini Lens Reflector (a first-of-its-kind for the company), brightness is increased by up to five times. This reaches an impressive illuminance of 12,600 lux — equivalent to the output of 300W to 500W professional video lights. ZHiYUN claims values of CRI ≈95 and TLCI ≈97.

The bottom of the X100 RGB features a dual screw hole design, ensuring balanced weight distribution regardless of whether it's powered by the grip battery or DC for easy and stable mounting. The compact, custom-designed ZY mount supports ZHIYUN Mini light modifiers while also being compatible with Bowens mount modifiers.

The MOLUS X100 RGB is also compatible with three professional light modifiers for enhanced creative control. Mini 4-Leaf Barn Doors feature a metal design and magnetic attachment, enabling control over light shaping and reflection; the ZHIYUN Spotlight Attachment delivers sharp projection with adjustable focus for a wide range of vibrant color effects to meet the demands of various professional shooting scenarios; and the Softbox 40D offers a larger soft light area and enhanced color rendering.

The light features a detachable 55.08Wh grip battery that provides up to 34 minutes of full-power runtime. It also supports PD fast charging and DC adapter input, ensuring continuous output.

The X100 RGB also features vintage-style leather with 'precision embossing'.

The MOLUS X100 RGB is available now for $269. A bundle including the Mini 4-Leaf Barn Doors, and Softbox 40D takes the price up to $449, while the Spotlight Attachment is available separately for $99.
