SIRUI's Saturn V2 anamorphic lenses rotate for vertical shooting

SIRUI has launched the Saturn V2, a full-frame 1.6x anamorphic lens series with a 90-degree rotating mount for switching between horizontal and vertical shooting. Priced from $599.

SIRUI has launched the Saturn V2, a full-frame anamorphic lens series built on its original Saturn design. The new lenses add a 90-degree rotating mechanism that lets filmmakers switch between horizontal and vertical shooting while keeping the anamorphic squeeze direction consistent, without changing lenses.

The series carries a 1.6x anamorphic squeeze ratio with full-frame coverage, giving a wider horizontal field of view alongside the series' oval bokeh and anamorphic flares. A T2.9 variable aperture gives control over exposure and depth of field.

In horizontal orientation, SIRUI positions the lenses for film, documentary, narrative, advertising and music video work; rotated, they produce a wide-screen vertical image aimed at short-form and social content.

The three lenses, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm, share a unified 62mm filter thread and standardized follow-focus gear position, reducing accessory duplication across a multi-camera or multi-focal-length set. Build is all-metal, and SIRUI says the lenses are light enough for handheld and gimbal use as well as supported rigs.

Pricing and availability

The Saturn V2 is available in Sony E, Canon RF and L-mount. A Nikon Z mount version has completed development and will ship with the second production batch. Individual lenses are $599; a three-lens set is $1699.
