One of the lightest matte boxes on the market and new camera cages from Bright Tangerine

Bright Tangerine is not a name that immediately springs to mind when it comes to accessories for cameras, but the company has been around since 2009 making high quality products such as matte boxes. With the new products shown at NAB this year, Bright Tangerine looks to have a bright future.

We were shown an add on for the company's Misfit Atom matte box that allows polarisers to rotate. Initially a rotating stage for a matte box might not seem like much of an innovation. However the Misfit Atom is an ultra light rig weighing in at 98g without the sunshade, or 195g with one attached. The Misfit Atom is designed for very lightweight camera setups, such as those needed for gimbals or Steadicam use.

Also on the list of products shown was a new cage system for the Canon C200. This is a new area for the company, and this is its first cage. But it looks to be incredibly well made and thought out.

An important product addition was a power distribution box designed specifically for the Arri ALEXA Mini. This is something that can drastically increase the rigging potential of the camera when it comes to accessories such as monitors and wireless receivers and transmitters.
