Avid has just announced that, just days after the release of their Pro Tools 11 software, Media Composer 7 is now available

Claiming that "Media Composer edits more of the world's most popular video content than any other nonlinear editing solution", Avid tells us that Media Composer 7 features accelerated and simplified file-based workflows, including optimised HD delivery from hi-res source material and automated media operations.

Price is £719 in the UK and $999 in the US.

In addition, as a key component of the Avid Everywhere vision, the new release offers Interplay® Sphere for Mac support, extending and connecting real-time production assets and facilities across the globe. It is available starting at £719 (Ex VAT)—bringing unprecedented value to post production editors.
