Nanlite PavoTube II 6CP: The Classic LED Tube Updated
2:46

Nanlite has introduced the PavoTube II 6CP, an updated version of its best-selling compact LED tube light. The 10-inch (25 cm) fixture keeps the familiar form factor but improves on power, runtime, and control.

The original Nanlite PavoTube II 6C has been comprehensively upgraded with the introduction of the new PavoTube II 6CP. The 10-inch LED tube light keeps the
same compact, ergonomic design, but everything else has been ramped up to provide a light more in keeping with 2025 demands.

Nebula C4 Engine

At the core of the reimagined light is Nanlite’s Nebula C4 color light engine. This offers around 10% more brightness than the original PavoTube II 6C, delivering 661 lux at 0.5 m (1.6 ft) at 5600 K. The light covers a 2400 K – 12,000 K color-temperature range with ±150 green/magenta adjustment. Claimed color accuracy is CRI/TLCI 95/95 and TM-30 Rf/Rg 92/100.

Control & Expanded Modes

A redesigned user interface features a clearer button layout and menu system, while the fixture can also be managed via Nanlink App 2.0. NFC connectivity allows quick pairing by tapping a compatible phone or tablet against the fixture’s tag.

The new model adds a Gel mode with 460 LEE and Rosco filters, supplementing existing CCT, HSI, and Effect modes. All in all, when grouped in the Nanlink App 2.0, users can access eight group effects alongside 15 built-in effects on the light itself.

For further effects, the 6CP remains compatible with all PavoTube II 6C accessories, including mounts, modifiers, power solutions, and waterproof housings, allowing seamless integration into existing kits.

Compact and Versatile

Weighing 267 g (9.4 oz) and 25 cm (10 inches) long, the light is definitely suited to handheld or location use. A polygonal body and built-in (now stronger) magnets enable stable placement on metal surfaces, while ¼-20 threads at both ends and the T12 tube size ensure compatibility with a range of mounting accessories.

Longer Runtime and Power Options

A new 3200 mAh internal battery provides around 78 minutes at full output—roughly 30% longer than the previous model. The light can be powered or charged through its USB-C port using a DC 5 V/2 A or PD adapter (though fast charging is not supported). An optional battery grip using a NP-F550 (7.4 V/2600 mAh) cell extends operation by about two hours.

Price & Availability

Price is $89. No word on availability just yet, but should be soon.
