Insta360's new Mic Pro wireless microphone brings a three-mic array and an E-Ink branding display to the creator audio market.
Insta360 has previewed its new flagship wireless microphone, the Mic Pro, at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas. The system goes significantly further than the company's existing Mic Air, looking to add a range of professional features while retaining direct integration with Insta360 cameras.
E-Ink display
The headline feature is a customizable E-Ink display on each transmitter, which will help ease one of the main annoyances surrounding the current generation of heavily branded wireless mics. Via the Insta360 app, users can upload logos, channel art, or other graphics, turning the transmitter body into a branding surface visible in frame.
Audio features
Audio capture is handled by a three-microphone array. The array, combined with AI-powered processing and NPU-based noise reduction, maintains clarity across changing environments, while internal recording provides a backup layer for less controlled conditions.
Ecosystem benefits
For Insta360 camera users, Direct Connect allows the transmitter to pair wirelessly with compatible Insta360 cameras — including the X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, GO Ultra, and the upcoming Luna — without a receiver, reducing setup friction and eliminating the need for additional cables or adapters.
Non-Insta360 cameras connect via 3.5 mm audio cable from the receiver.
Pricing and availability
No pricing or shipping date has been announced. Insta360 describes the NAB showing as a preview ahead of a global launch later in 2026.
