Godox KNOWLED AM800R: 800W inflatable mat light deploys at speed

Godox has released the KNOWLED AM800R, an 800W inflatable LED mat light in a 4×4 ft panel. It's available for pre-order at $3990.

After first being shown at NAB 2026, Godox has released the KNOWLED AM800R, an 800W full-color inflatable LED mat light with a 4×4 ft (1.2 × 1.2 m) panel. This comes a year after the larger 8x8 ft AM1600R debuted the range on the market, and showcases the same rapidly deployable technology in a smaller form.

Rapid deployment

The AM800R inflates to 8 PSI in about one minute and holds its shape for up to 15 days after a single inflation. The frame combines a carbon fiber backplate with reinforced inflatable fabric; the backplate supports the flexible PCB to reduce deformation stress. LED modules are replaceable, and an airframe repair kit is included.

CCT range runs 1800 K to 10,000 K with ±100 GM adjustment, and the fixture offers CCT, HSI, and GEL color modes. The AM800R uses detachable microstructure diffusion fabrics (D11-32, D11-32+, D13-30+) for adjustable softness, with a grid accessory available to control spill and shape the beam.

Flexible mounting

Mounting options are many and varied, and include floor stand, boom arm, and truss-free rigging, via a foldable U-bracket with 300° adjustment. High-strength D-rings allow multiple units to be linked into larger lighting surfaces. The light body and controller are both rated IP65, making it as home on location as in the studio.

Control options include CRMX, DMX/RDM, Ethernet, Bluetooth (60 m/197 ft range) via the KNOWLED app, and on-board controls.

The AM Series is now available in three panel sizes: the AM800R 4×4 ft (1.2 × 1.2 m), the AM1600R 48K 4×8 ft (1.2 × 2.4 m) which comes in at $7990, and the AM1600R 88K at 8×8 ft (2.4 × 2.4 m) which costs $8990.
