Creamsource has added two compact 160 W fixtures to its Vortex lineup. Both are IP65-rated, run the full CreamOS and CCMS ecosystem, and ship in August 2026.
Creamsource has expanded on its Vortex lighting family with the announcement of the Vortex2 (V2) and Vortex2 Soft (V2S), two 160 W additions to the Vortex lineup in a compact form factor.
The main distinction between the two is that the V2 uses a 20° beam for directional work, while the V2S opens out to a native 110° spread for broader, softer coverage. Both are IP65-rated and run the same RRGBBW LED engine, CreamOS workflow, and CCMS color management as the rest of the Vortex family, and both work with the Slyyd app and Creamsource Webserver.
At 6 kg (13.23 lb) without the yoke, the fixtures are built for tighter spaces and faster turnarounds. Connectivity includes built-in LumenRadio, etherCON, pass-through DMX, and pass-through power for daisy-chaining and linear array configurations. A new 3-pin XLR DC input supports portable battery operation using existing battery systems.
New rigging options include a center mount gooseneck developed specifically for the V2 Series. The front-load accessory mounting system from the Vortex Soft Series carries over, alongside 8x LNX sockets for use with Creamsource’s LNX rigging system, 4x 3/8" female threaded rigging points, and a center mount socket.
