How to Add RedShark News as a Preferred Source on Google Search
2:06

Cut through the AI slop, the endless ads, and the dodgy links by adding RedShark News to your list of Preferred Sources on Google.

Thanks to the rise of AI, there is more content out there than ever before. And a lot of it is rubbish. Even Google, which prides itself on its algorithm's ability to present its users with the most relevant links, is starting to drown under the sheer weight of it all. AI slop, countless ads, fake news, dodgy links... it all conspires to make it more difficult than ever to hunt down the information you're looking for

Simply put, Search has got stupid.

Introducing Preferred Sources

Which is why Google has introduced the ability to add Preferred Sources to its home page. Starting in the US and India, and rolling out soon to the rest of the world, Google users can select their favorite news and information sources and stay up to date on the latest content from the sites they follow and subscribe. All you have to do is click the super-sized button below and then check the box on the right.

Alternatively, just click the icon on the right of Top Stories in Google Search. And Hey presto! When you select your preferred sources, you’ll start to see more RedShark articles prominently displayed within Top Stories whenever we have published fresh and relevant content for your search. And if you're searching for video industry content, photography, post-production, technology, and a whole lot of other stuff, we have new content every day for you.

Rolling out Worldwide

As we said, this is just for readers in the US and India at the moment. But given that's just over a fifth of the world's population, and a substantial amount of our readers, it's worthwhile doing.

But don't just do it for us; do it for all the other sites you get your news from, in this industry and others. AI summaries have placed the traditional model of publishing on the internet under threat as never before, and this is a way for the sites you value to stay visible, stay viable, and invest in bringing you great and relevant content every day.
