Godox's latest entrant into camera lighting systems allows a single iT32 flash body to pair to different manufacturers' cameras by simply swapping the X5 TTL Wireless Flash Trigger.
The new modular iT32 iFlash Camera Flash & X5 TTL Wireless Flash Trigger pairing is a neat idea from Godox. Rather than having to swap the entire flash unit when moving from one camera to another, users just have to swap the X5 component, which functions as both a hotshoe and wireless trigger.
One System, Multiple Cameras
The iT32 & X5 combination offer a universal solution for photographers working across different camera systems. When paired with different X5 versions, one iT32 flash body seamlessly adapts to Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and OM System cameras, offering full TTL and HSS support across the brands.

The X5 is a cleverly engineered bit of kit too. It serves both as a hotshoe mount and a wireless transmitter, enabling speedy transitions between on-camera and off-camera use thanks to a strong magnetic mounting. When attached to the iT32 flash body, it functions as the hotshoe for on-camera shooting. Then, when detached, it automatically switches to trigger mode, wirelessly controlling iT32 or other Godox Wireless X System flashes.
Wireless Comms
Equipped with a built-in 2.4GHz receiver in the iT32 and a 2.4GHz sender in the X5,
the system ensures instant wireless communication without manual pairing. When used together, they act as a master unit to trigger multiple Godox flashes simultaneously. When separated, the X5 can still control the iT32 and other flashes within the Godox 2.4GHz wireless X system, making multi-light setups simple, fast, and reliable.
The iT32 automatically identifies the attached X5 version, displaying key information such as model type, battery level, and charging status on its screen. This smart detection ensures photographers always stay aware of system status, minimizing errors and keeping shooting sessions smooth and controlled.
Flash Performance
Of course, none of this would be much use if the flash unit wasn't a decent performer. Luckily, it is. The iT32 weighs 169 g / 5.96 oz, is a compact 56 x 39 x 101 mm / 2.2 x 1.54 x 3.98 in, and has a Guide Number of 18 metres (59 ft). It will provide 510 flashes off one charge with a 1.5 second recycle time. Flash duration ranges from 1/1000s to 1/30,000s. Transmission range is 80 metres / 262 feet, or 20 metres / 66 feet in separated triggering.
Compatible with Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, OM System
The Godox iT32 TTL Mini Flash is available to preorder now for $79 and works with nearly every major camera brand. The Godox X5 Wireless Flash Trigger is available for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, OM System, and Sony cameras for between $19.90 and $33.90.
