New Apple Products to be Unveiled March 4

Apple has sent out invites to a "special Apple experience" taking place in three cities worldwide on March 4.

Apple has just sent out an invite to journalists to join it for a special "experience" taking place at 9am ET on March 4 in three cities worldwide: New York, London, and Shanghai. And that, and the special rendering of the logo above which you can see is made up of translucent discs in three colors, is all the official information you're getting.

Still, there are some definite conclusions we can draw from this. First, it's not something absolutely major. Apple tends to like to do those sort of events with a presentation back at base in Apple Park.

Second, the colors make us lean towards reports of the new low-cost A-18-based MacBook being at the center of this. Bloomberg's Mac savant Mark Gurman has said that the new sub $1000 MacBook will come in a range of "playful" colorways, with options such as light yellow, light green, blue, and pink, tested out alongside the classic silver and dark gray.

They will still be made from an aluminum chassis though despite the newer price point. Apple has successfully developed a new lower cost and quicker way of forging the shells from the material rather than having to pivot towards plastic to keep costs down.

Siri Late Again

Third, Siri probably won't be involved. iOS 26.4 was meant to feature a totally new and dramatically overhauled Siri. As the current release is iOS 26.3, that was all due imminently, but problems in testing seem to have put it back to iOS 26.5, with some features calved off and punted even further into the future, perhaps as far as iOS 27.

As Gurman rather acidly points out, "If the features do indeed arrive later in 2026, that’s a roughly two-year lag between the announcement in June 2024 and their debut. For a company of Apple’s size, this is staggering."

And fourth, Apple's pipeline of new products is an impressively bulging one. We'd reiterate that the low cost MacBooks will probably be front and center, but there's plenty of other kit on its way too. The announcement could also potentially include the upcoming iPhone 17e, new iPads, a new Apple TV, the new Studio Display, a revamped HomePod mini, new MacBook Pros and more. In other words, this is probably the first 'special experience' of several to come this year.
