Adobe's Turntable feature for Illustrator is now generally available, generating up to 74 editable multi-angle views from a single 2D vector illustration using Firefly AI.

Adobe has announced that Turntable has moved out of beta and is now generally available in Adobe Illustrator. First previewed as a MAX Sneak in 2024 and refined through the beta stage, the Firefly-powered feature lets designers generate up to 74 editable multi-angle views from a single vector illustration. This includes full rotation and vertical tilt, effectively giving you a 3D translation of the illustration in question.

Each angle remains a fully editable vector, allowing designers to create turnarounds, animations, and production-ready assets while preserving original details.

What it's for

Turntable is aimed at animation teams, game designers, and social media teams. Use cases highlighted by Adobe include generating character turnarounds for pitch decks, creating 360-degree assets for concept art, and producing GIFs and micro-animations directly within Illustrator.

The feature also supports handoff to After Effects for design-to-motion workflows. One thing worth noting from beta feedback is that the tool works best with bold, graphic illustrations that have clear outlines and identifiable geometry; more abstract or loosely drawn styles can produce inconsistent results.

Turntable is part of a broader update to Illustrator that includes performance improvements, Generative Shape Fill, and expanded After Effects integration.

Cueing up Project Turn Style

It's also worth a brief mention of Project Turn Style. This is from the same team that developed Turntable and lets you edit 2D objects as if they were 3D. Here's Research Scientist Zhiqin Chen's presentation on it from Adobe MAX 2025, and hopefully it will make its way into the Illustrator beta program soon.

Pricing and availability

Illustrator is available as a single-app subscription from $22.99/month on an annual plan, or as part of Creative Cloud Pro, currently $69.99/month on an annual plan. There are often deals to be had though, so check Illustrator's pricing page for the most up-to-date information.
