It's like a S.A.K. for movie making - and you probably know what that stands for

Tilta's Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit is a small set of common tools that anyone may need when filming a project. And it's affordably priced.

Tilta is known for a variety of products, everything from camera cages to matte boxes, lens control systems, and more, so it's no surprise the company is releasing a multi-functional tool that keeps production personnel from carrying around multiple tools.

The Tilta Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit includes:

  • Six tools including common Allen keys and screwdriver bits.
  • Works with Tilta's range of products like camera cages and support systems, but also is universal and will work with other brands' products.
  • Durable and made of alloy frame and the tools are allow steel.
  • Compact size, so no problem transporting it around.
  • Choose a color that works for you. (Remember the old iMac's with multiple color options?)
  • Highly affordable at $25!

The Tilta Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit brings to mind the time when an old friend and mentor was showing me a mix of Steadicam basics and general G&E (grip and electric) information, back while I was in film school. He told me to purchase a Leatherman or similar tool that can be easily stored and retrieved in my pocket in case I needed the multi-functional tool.

And over the years of my professional film and video career, I did indeed make great use of it. But I have to say that a tool like the Tilta Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit is worth its weight in gold when you need something like this for a quick fix or assembling and disassembling cages, support systems, etc.

The Tilta Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit retails for a very lightweight $25, and is something I personally would consider having with me on a shoot of any size, barring any rules or regulations. Find it on Tilta’s website.
