Here's what HDR looks like on the Hydrogen One RED

In a few weeks time we'll start seeing the first real world reports from RED Hydrogen One early adoptors. In the meantime, here's a nice photo tease from Phil Holland, taken with the new phone.

It's safe to say that the Hydrogen One is a very eagerly awaited phone. The primary focus of this fever of anticipation is of course the much publicised 'holographic' display. Despite the closeness of release, the phone is still shrouded in secrecy with only a very select few having seen it in the flesh.

Phil Holland has just posted up a photo of a '64 Ford Mustang that he took using the phone camera's HDR mode. It's notable that despite the Facebook compression doing its best to ruin the picture, there is clearly a lot of dynamic range being captured.

As the first phones start to be sent out to early adoptors in the first couple of weeks in October, you can be sure that we are going to be seeing many more examples of what the new phone can do very soon. Although unfortunately there will be no way to portray that screen via a 2D medium like the web. Tick tock...

Phil Holland's photograph of a '64 Mustang in maintenance might be the first pulished photograph taken with a RED Hydrogen One phone
