Sabrent expands its flash memory offerings with new Type B CFexpress cards

Things are hotting up if you’re looking for new flash storage for your camera. As predicted, after the recent release of their new V90II SD cards, Sabrent has followed up with its new CFexpress Type B cards, available in 512GB and 1TB capacities.

 Rated at 1700MB/s read and 1500MB/s writes these cards support TRIM and SMART encryption, they even allow the firmware to be upgraded. The cards fast, low-latency flash communicates over an x2 PCIe 3.0 interface.

These cards also adopt various advanced flash management techniques including LDPC and RAID error correction, end-to-end data protection, wear-leveling, defect management, and over-provisioning.  Sabrent say their CFexpress cards are built to endure years of use to keep your content safe.

To make sure that you can be confident in these specifications Sabrent also include a 3 year warranty on registration.

Prices are TBC at the moment but by the time this article is published things should be much clearer.

Oh and be on the lookout for a higher capacity card in the coming months. Sabrent has really upped its game in the flash memory market recently. What’s next I wonder?
