Cinegear 2018: Following on from its original Creamsource LED light range, Outsight has announced a new addition to its high CRI stable.

Aussie company Outsight may not be as well known as, for instance, Litepanels, but its lights would appear to give some punch in the specification stakes. The original Micro Bi-colour light won awards at last years NAB, and now the company has announced a new multi-colour version, the Micro Colour.

The Micro Colour can produce light at any colour temperature from 2,200K through to 15,000K via its calibrated RGBW LED lights. But what separates the Micro Colour from its Bi-colour stablemate is that it can adjust the green/magenta hues to produce bold saturated colours.

Outsight claims that the light produces CRI and TLCI values above 95, making the light exceptionally high quality. The light also features a 20 degree beam angle and fan free cooling. Further more it is water resistant with an IP65 ingress rating. Its small size means that it can be easily transported in carry on luggage when flying.

Outsight is taking pre-orders now with a price starting at $1295 for the head and power supply, or $1495 with a Yoke, power supply and one lens.

The Micro Colour is being demonstrated at this years Cinegear by The Rag Place, booth 30.
