Pond5 has just announced that it has revamped its user interface for contributors, giving them more control, and potentially more revenue.

Pond5 is one of the world's most well known stock footage sites. It is used by corporate and broadcast customers alike. It's so ubiquitous that if you have watched any number of BBC productions recently, you will have seen footage licensed from Pond5. Stock footage is popular, and, particularly now, it's also quite important at a time when travel is much more restrictive.

Pond5 has been hard at work revamping its interface to give contributors much more control over how their footage libraries are presented. The company understands that many of its contributors are making a living from stock footage sales, which has motivated the changes.

Artists can now give more exposure to their social media accounts, feature footage and earn potentially much higher commission rates, possibly up to 90%, through a new Refer & Earn scheme.

Pond5 remains popular among contributors due to its higher 40% base commission rate compared to other offerings, with 60% commission becoming available if your footage is made exclusive to Pond5.

We'll be covering the new features in-depth very soon, so stay tuned to our YouTube channel!
