Litepanels has announced the Gemini 2x1 Hard RGBWW LED panel, which lays claim to being the brightest of its type on the market so far.

At 23,000 lux at 10ft this claim would certainly seem to have substance. The new panel weighs 25.3 lbs (11.5kg) and has a power draw of only 500W. Litepanels says that the new light outputs seven times more light that the Gemini 1x1 Hard. It can produce a 20° beam of light or it can switch over to a soft 100° wash by using the included diffusion panels, an Ultra-Light and Domed Diffuser.

The light features different wired and wireless control options, including integrated DMX, CRMX, and RDM, as well as flicker-free performance at any frame rate or shutter angle. Dimming can be performed incredibly smoothly from 100% all the way down to 0.1%.

The Gemini 2x1 Hard is available to buy now, and it is priced at $6,300 or £4,600 from CVP. For more information about the new light panel, visit the Litepanels website.
