YoloLiv Introduces YoloCam S3 4K Webcam With 1/1.3” Sensor

YoloLiv reckons that the 1/1.3” CMOS sensor at the heart of the YoloCam S3 combines with precision optics and AI-powered detail to set a new standard for webcam quality.

The webcam market has become a crowded one of late, with companies moving on rapidly from targeting the Zoom conference call crowd to aiming at a new generation of creators with what are essentially cut-down PTZ cameras. It doesn't matter that a lot of the P, T, and Z is being undertaken in software by AI, they're all-round streaming devices and the quality is getting higher all the time.

The YoloCam S3, which launches at the end of the month, is a good example. It supports video streams up to 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps, and that large 1/1.3" sensor is definitely at the top end of the range when it comes to webcams.

DSLR-Like Control

It's all about picture quality. The S3 promises DSLR-level manual controls over contrast, sharpness, saturation, exposure, white balance, autofocus, and color grading via Picasso Live. Even at 4x digital zoom, it only steps down to 1080p output without blurring or cropping. HDR support ensures shadows and highlights are not an issue.

An advanced image processor enhances facial visibility by up to 2.5x, refining image details in challenging light through AI-tuned auto-exposure, white balance, and noise reduction. Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) is claimed to provide zero lag and no blur, so you should never miss a close-up moment.

It also offers guaranteed protection from overheating, so you should not miss anything else either.

A foldable magnetic mount provides stability and flexibility in positioning, as well as quick switching between portrait and vertical modes, while the integrated 1/4"-20 interface offers compatibility with most tripods.

Pricing and Availability

The YoloCam S3 has already been launched in China and will be available worldwide at the end of October for $199.
