Sirui has launched the Swift series, kicking off with 20mm f/2.4 and 40mm f/2.2 autofocus primes for Sony E, L-mount, and Fujifilm X. Both cost $149.
Sirui’s new Swift series starts with two small full-frame autofocus primes, the 20mm f/2.4 and the 40mm f/2.2, each priced at $149.
Both are available for Sony E and L-mount cameras, and for Fujifilm X, where the full-frame coverage translates to roughly 30mm and 60mm equivalents on APS-C bodies.
The two lenses share a maximum diameter of around 69.5 mm (2.74 in), a 58 mm filter thread, and a nine-blade aperture. Length runs from 60 to 62.3 mm (2.36 to 2.45 in) and weight from 207 to 215 g (7.3 to 7.6 oz), depending on lens and mount.
The 20mm f/2.4 uses 11 elements in 9 groups, including two aspherical, two ED, and two HRI elements, and focuses down to 0.2 m (7.9 in). The 40mm f/2.2 uses 11 elements in 8 groups with one aspherical and two ED elements, and focuses to 0.4 m (1.31 ft). Sirui says both are all-glass designs.
Sirui also lists both lenses as weather-sealed, with a smudge-resistant coating on the front element. Camera compatibility info is here.
Pre-orders are open now through Sirui's store and Amazon, with shipping from November 6.
