Saturation has introduced a production-specific charge card for the US market designed to integrate directly into film and video budgeting workflows.

LA-based Saturation, which provides budgeting and expense management tools for film, television, and commercial production, has released an interesting new product, the Saturation Credit Card. Rather than being based on personal credit scores, it's underwritten against a company’s production revenue and operating performance. The company positions this as a better fit for project-based businesses that operate on short timelines and fluctuating cash flow. Which is most of us.

Below is an overview of Saturation's main production management app. The company reports that during 2025, production teams used its platform to manage more than $2.7 billion in budgets across 19,628 projects. Clients include Park Pictures, Blue Chalk Media, and teams working with organizations such as the NBA, Netflix, and People, Inc.

A Different Structure

The card operates as a charge card with automatic repayment from a linked bank account or platform balance. Saturation says it reflects broader changes in how independent film and video productions operate, with more teams functioning nowadays as small, short-term businesses rather than one-off creative projects.

It operates as part of Saturation’s broader platform, which combines budgeting, banking, approvals, and real-time expense tracking into a single system. By embedding credit directly into production workflows, the idea is that creative and finance teams get shared visibility into spending decisions while a project is still underway.

Full integration unlocks project-based fund allocations, hard spending caps, and unlimited virtual and physical cards for department heads and crew. Transactions are automatically categorized by project and department, with integrated bill pay and approval workflows giving producers a live view of financial position across a production.

As well as providing a fuller financial picture, the company argues that this approach reduces reliance on petty cash, cash advances, and manual reimbursement processes, which are still common on many productions.

Cash Back and Partner Savings

The Saturation Credit Card also offers up to 3% cash back on qualifying production-related expenses, subject to eligibility requirements and monthly caps. There is no annual fee, and the card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.

In addition to cash back, cardholders gain access to partner discounts that Saturation says could represent more than $30,000 in potential annual savings. Partners include Musicbed, Filmsupply, ShotDeck, SetHero, Scriptation, and Filmmakers Academy.

Availability

The Saturation Credit Card is available now to US-based production companies. Applications and reservations are open now via Saturation’s website.
