The BBC is very proud of its newest news-gathering tool: a remote-control helicopter

According to the BBC, they've just acquired their first helicopter "drone" and they've immediately put it to good use on a story about the proposed High Speed 2 (HS2) railway line that will link the north and south of England if it is built.

And, from the clip that the BBC has supplied, it certainly does add a new diminsion to the reports. It would be hard to imagine the same shots being made with a crane or a helicopter: never mind the cost!
