Hollyland's LARK M3 wireless mic system doubles its predecessor's capacity, supporting up to four transmitters and four receivers for multi-camera productions. Pricing starts at $99.
As previewed at IBC in Amsterdam, Hollyland has officially announced the LARK M3, the latest iteration of its wireless audio system designed for multi-camera, multi-person productions.
The LARK M3 supports up to four transmitters and four receivers as compared to the LARK M2’s two-transmitter max, and is admirably flexible in the configuration options users can choose to combine them in. One transmitter can feed audio to four receivers across multiple cameras simultaneously, while four transmitters can pair to one receiver for independent multi-person recording.
It records at 48 kHz and 32-bit float with a 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 125 dB max SPL. Wireless range is up to 300 m (1000 ft) in ideal conditions, using Hollyland's proprietary HDT technology. Each transmitter weighs 9 g (0.32 oz) and clips on magnetically. Total battery life reaches up to 48 hours with the included charging case, built from 8 hours per TX charge, while charge time is ~1.5 hours (TX) and ~2.5 hours (case).
The system’s new AI noise cancellation suppresses wind, traffic, and water sounds across three adjustable levels. Custom voice tuning provides one-tap enhancement with eight vocal presets assignable to individual transmitters. Auto-Limit clip protection maintains stable volume levels, while a primary/secondary receiver setup enables automatic failover to prevent recording interruptions, as well as guarding against accidental changes in the middle of a shoot. If the primary receiver goes offline, the connected receivers automatically switch roles to keep audio capture running.
Four-track independent recording allows post-production control for adjusting individual speaker volumes and sound.
