DaVinci Resolve Studio adds some powerful features that are not available in the free DaVinci Resolve version, and now you can rent it on a monthly basis.
Blackmagic has introduced a new way for individuals to rent DaVinci Resolve Studio via a license management system in Blackmagic Cloud.
Previously, this was only available to larger organizations, but now individual users can also rent licenses for short-term projects or to bring in additional resource.
While the standard DaVinci Resolve is a hugely capable piece of software, the Studio version definitely adds some features that more high-end productions and studios depend on. This includes higher resolutions, multi-GPU acceleration, more sophisticated AI-based tools such as Noise Reduction, more formats, and, since the release of v20.1, tools for producing Apple Immersive Video.
Rented licenses can be activated using your Blackmagic Cloud ID, without the need for a dongle or activation code. License usage across different computers can be managed directly within Blackmagic Cloud.
We only have a confirmed UK pricing at the moment, which is £25 per license per month. At a guess that will translate to about $30. We'll update when we can.
These new features are available now for Blackmagic Cloud customers and can be accessed at http://bmd.link/EqzKK7
