Astera QuikBeam LED Spotlight | 200W Equivalent, PoE, Swappable Batteries

Written by RedShark News Staff | Feb 9, 2026 11:05:20 AM

Astera has announced QuikBeam, a new 200 W compact LED spotlight addition to its Quik family of focusing fixtures.

We're late on this one. Apologies. Astera says its new QuikBeam is designed to deliver clean, defined beams ideal for precise uplighting, accents and feature highlighting, "following the tradition of film "Inkies" with bold Fresnel lenses." Featuring a 13°-60° QuikTurn zoom, a new HotBeam function is included to push beyond 13° producing ramped up output and center intensity at even narrower beam settings.

Versatile Power

Built around Astera’s Titan LED Engine, QuikBeam provides rich, accurate RGBMA color rendering that matches seamlessly across all Astera products, while also offering the extra performance of QuikFamily's OutputGain. The light outputs 2294 lux @ 3 m (5500 K) and has a CRI of ≥96.

Beyond performance, one of the fixture's highlights is a versatile power ecosystem. Its fully waterproof QuikBrick batteries can be swapped in seconds and fast charged when needed. Users can choose from three charging methods: via PoE while wired in the fixture; with the optional ChargingDock (charges up to 4 QuikBricks at once), or through the light's USB-C port.

Battery runtime is up to 20 hours, though that falls to 80 minutes at max brightness. Charging time is a nominal 2 h 40 min.

For hardwired applications, users can connect QuikBeam up to 100 meters/328 feet from the PowerInjector or IP65-rated NetBox, which enables 4 PoE EtherCON outputs and PrepBox functionality, streamlining setup and configuration to a claimed under 10 seconds.

When it comes to PoE, QuikBeam combines power and data in a single cable, supporting standard sACN and ArtNet signals. The IP65-rated fixture works seamlessly with existing PoE switches and the battery charges when connected. Control methods include built-in CRMX, wireless DMX, AsteraApp, UHF connectivity, infrared remote control, or web interface.

While sharing similar strengths with the rest of Astera's QuikFamily, QuikBeam was created specifically to deliver maximum performance in a small and lightweight form factor. As a result, it measures just 136 mm x 120 mm (5.35 " x 4.75 ") and weighs 1617 g (3.56 lb).

Accessories include super-lightweight Barndoors, an EdgeSoftener filter the slips over the lens to emulate the gentle falloff of a classic Fresnel, and a Rotatable Elliptical Filter that transforms the circular beam shape into an adjustable ellipse.

Pricing and Availability

QuikBeam is going to be available in plenty of different configurations, but unfortunately we don't yet have prices for any of them. Multiple-unit flight cases will be available for production companies and rental houses, while for slightly smaller scale production needs a 4-unit kit with NetBox and accessories or a 2-unit backpack will be available.
