Adobe plugin in ChatGPT: 70+ tools, one prompt

Written by Andy Stout | Aug 6, 2026, 1:00:04 PM

Adobe has merged its separate ChatGPT apps into a single plugin drawing on more than 70 Creative Cloud tools.

Adobe has launched the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT, which replaces the separate Photoshop, Adobe Express and Acrobat integrations Adobe released for ChatGPT in December 2025. These are now all folded into the one plugin alongside additional tools from Firefly, Premiere, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and Stock, unifying its creative and productivity tools inside ChatGPT Work and Codex.

Adobe has already brought its tools to Claude and Copilot, with the company promising Slack and Gemini integrations due later this month.

Adobe sells the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT as enabling some impressive ease of use. Users activate the plugin, describe what they want, and it selects the relevant Adobe tools automatically, drawing on more than 70 tools across Adobe's creative and productivity suites. So, while this ChatGPT functionality is catching up with Claude in particular, it also looks like it is overtaking it as the number of integrated tools promised when that launched was closer to 50.

Example workflows

Presumably, the software can cope with the odd misspelling

Adobe offers examples of what users will be able to accomplish:

Photo editing: apply a consistent style across a batch of campaign photos, save the results to Creative Cloud and turn the strongest image into a product or packaging mockup.

Video editing: convert long-form video into a highlight reel and resize it for platforms including YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.

Design: browse and customize templates, then animate them for social or export as a print-ready PDF.

Documents: convert a spreadsheet or dataset into formatted PDFs such as event badges, catalogs and infographics.

Obviously, some projects will need pixel-level editing or more creative control, not to mention a certain amount of course correction when the Chat takes an idea and runs with it. In these cases, users can move the work from the plugin and into the full Adobe desktop apps and continue where they left off.

Activation

The Adobe plugin in ChatGPT is available globally from today on ChatGPT web and app. To activate it, boot up ChatGPT, go to Plugins and add the Adobe plugin, or just start a new chat and type "@Adobe."

Guest access covers a broad set of tools; signing in with an Adobe account adds generative features, access to Creative Cloud files and the ability to save work across sessions.
